Description:
The Accredited Platform Specialist (APS) certification from HP Certification was established in 2001. This Accredited Platform Specialist (APS) certification is intended for students who are currently employed in the Enterprise Network environments. This certification is also for students who aspire to find employment in this environment and wants to obtain the Accredited Platform Specialist (APS) certification.
The student who passes the Accredited Platform Specialist (APS) certification will certify that a successful Accredited Platform Specialist has learnt the knowledge needed to need to remedial maintenance for the purpose of restoring consumer and business class hardware to operational levels.
The successful Accredited Platform Specialist certified student will have knowledge of:-
· The design, support and integrate platform
· Operating system
· Storage
· Network and option components to solve business needs
· Hands-on planning and the integration and support of technical solutions in business class, networked environments
These are all fields in the Enterprise Network environments. The Accredited Platform Specialist certification is only available to students who have 6 to 12 months experience in the design, support and integrate platform, operating system, storage, and network as well as option components to solve the business needs.
Required Exams:
The student needs to complete the required HP exam(s) in order to earn the AIS certification. There are different tracks in the certification.
There can be different exams for the different tracks. For example:-
· The exam required for the APS - HP Commercial Desktops, Workstations and Notebooks track is the HP HP2-896 Servicing HP Desktops, Workstations and Notebooks exam.
· The exam required for the APS HP Smart Desktop Service [2005] track is the HP HP2-033 Supporting HP Smart Desktop Service exam.
· The exam required for the APS - ProCurve Networking [2004] track is the HP HP2-964 Installation and Service of HP ProCurve Devices exam.
This exam is available in English only.
Recertification:
The successful Accredited Platform Specialist student will hold the Accredited Platform Specialist certification indefinitely.
