Citrix CCEA 4.0
In the Information and Technology sphere, having a CCEA is an excellent credential. The CCEA certification program emphasizes aspects like the expansion of skills and knowledge beyond that of the Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) certification program. The CCEA certification provides a candidate with the tools and knowledge needed to administer, build, test, rollout and support of multiple Citrix products. The CCEA for Citrix Presentation Server 4 is designed to help customers and partners maximize the effectiveness and reliability of Citrix environments, resulting in satisfied users, reduced support calls, and better return on investment.
CCEA Certification: Requirements
As technology develops, the next chronological certification: CCEA certification program now offers the following CCEA track:
- Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator for Citrix Presentation Server 4
It is recommended that you contact your regional channel representative for additional information. The following CCEA tracks are no longer attainable, though remain valid certifications.
- Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator for MetaFrame Access Suite 3.0
- Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator for MetaFrame XP Presentation Server
CCEA for Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator for Citrix Presentation Server 4
This is the CCEA flagship as it is the most extensive and recognized certification and is updated and improved to support the latest Citrix products that are on the market. It is quite a stern test and very challenging in terms of testing the candidates regarding their learning, application and demonstration of the advanced skills required to integrate multiple Citrix products into a single optimally configured environment, as well as sustain this environment using comprehensive troubleshooting and maintenance techniques. This certification is intended for those responsible for administering large, complex, or mission critical environments.
To achieve this particular certification there are some steps that has to be followed.
Taking the designated Online Citrix course namely: CTX-1455CW Citrix Common Management Platform 4.5: Administration OR CTX-1455AW Citrix Access Suite 4.0: Common Management Platform Administration as well as pass the assessment at the end of the online Citrix course.
In addition there are also several examinations that count as credits towards a CCEA certification. They include:
- 1Y0-259 Citrix Presentation Server 4.5: Administration
OR
- 1Y0-256 Citrix Presentation Server 4.0: Administration
- 1Y0-327 Citrix Password Manager 4.5 Administration or the alternative 326 Citrix Password Manager 4.0: Administration
- 1Y0-308 Citrix Access Gateway 4.5 Advanced Edition: Administration or the alternative 306 Citrix Access Gateway 4.2 with Advanced Access Control: Administration
- 1Y0-258 Citrix Presentation Server 4.0: Support
- 1Y0-456 Citrix Access Suite 4.0: Build/Test
Then you should feel free to accept the CCEA certification agreement. Once you have become Citrix Certified„¢, a certificate is mailed to the address on record within Certification Manager. If you have not received your certificate after 4 weeks for delivery in the United States, or after 8 weeks outside of the United States, you may request a second certificate by clicking Request Certificate on the left-hand side of the Candidate Record page and entering your request details.
Recommended Citrix Certification training: There are several free online Citrix quick study, Citrix study guides and even Citrix video study guides available.
In addition to the recommended Citrix training there is also online Citrix certification courses and Citrix discussion forums that will help a great deal in preparing oneself for the Citrix exams.
Certification Logos
These are obtainable when you access your Candidate Record in Certification Manager and click Get Logos in the left-hand column. Select the appropriate logo and file format, and then follow the download instructions.
There are currently no skills update paths offered by Citrix, but the possibility is not completely ruled out for the future. As technology develops it will become an integral part of Information Technology.
