Description:

The Foundry Networks Certified Network Engineer (FNCNE) certification from Foundry Certification was established in 2001.  This Extreme Networks Associate (ENA) certification is aimed at candidates who are currently employed in the Enterprise Network environments.  This certification is also for candidates who seek employment in this environment and who want to obtain the Foundry Networks Certified Network Engineer (FNCNE) certification.

The candidate who passes the Foundry Networks Certified Network Engineer certification will certify that a successful Foundry Networks Certified Network Engineer has learnt the knowledge of the following:-

·       The need to Install and configure Foundry switches and routers in a small to medium sized networks.

·       Implementing Foundrys Layers 4 - Layers 7 switching,

·       Firewalls and

·       Sever load balancing solutions.

The successful Foundry Networks Certified Network Engineer candidate will have knowledge of the Provide level 1 support and diagnostics, fault isolation, installing and configuring Foundry switches and routers in a small to medium sized network.

These are fields in the Enterprise Network environments.  The Foundry Networks Certified Network Engineer certification only has one prerequisite.  The candidate attempting this certification should have 6 to 12 months experience in the fundamental knowledge of networking prior to learning the specifics of Foundry networking.

Exam Details:

The successful Foundry Networks Certified Network Engineer candidate that passes the Foundry FN0-125-342 Foundry Networks Certified Network Engineer (FNCNE) exam will be awarded with credit towards the Foundry Networks Certified Network Engineer certification.

The Foundry FN0-125-342 Foundry Networks Certified Network Engineer (FNCNE) exam has a difficulty rating of about 3 out of 5.  It is thus only a moderately difficult exam.

The Foundry FN0-125-342 Foundry Networks Certified Network Engineer (FNCNE) exam is only available in English.

Recertification

The Foundry Networks Certified Network Engineer certification will be held by the successful Foundry Networks Certified Network Engineer candidate indefinitely.
