Description:
The IBM Certified Enterprise Developer (CED) certification from IBM Certification was established in 2001. This IBM Certified Enterprise Developer (CED) certification is intended for candidates who are presently employed in the Enterprise Network environments. This certification is also for candidates who aspire to find employment in this environment and wants to obtain the IBM Certified Enterprise Developer (CED) certification.
The candidate who passes the IBM Certified Enterprise Developer (CED) certification will certify that a successful IBM Certified Enterprise Developer has learnt the knowledge needed to develop and deploy distributed enterprise-level applications that model an organization's processes, practices as well as concepts.
The successful Certified Enterprise Developer certified student will have knowledge of:-
· Designing
· Creating and maintaining Java 2 Platform
· Enterprise Edition (J2EE) 1.3 components
· Deploying and configuring these components and
· Supporting the development of application clients that access them.
These are all fields in the Enterprise Network environments.
The prerequisite for the IBM Certified Enterprise Developer certification is that it’s only available to students who have 6 to 12 months experience. The students should have experience in:-
· Designing
· Creating and maintaining Java 2 Platform
· Enterprise Edition (J2EE) 1.3 components
· Deploying and configuring these components and
· Supporting the development of application clients that access them.
Required Exams:
To be awarded the IBM Certified Enterprise Developer certification, the Certified Enterprise Developer student must successfully pass four exams. These exams are:-
· The IBM 310-025 CED (Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform) exam
· The IBM Test 486 CED (Object-Oriented Analysis and Design with UML) exam
· The IBM Test 484 CED (Enterprise Connectivity with J2EE V1.3) exam
· The IBM Test 287 CED (Enterprise Application Development with IBM WebSphere Studio, V5.0) exam
These exams have a difficulty rating of about 3 out of 5. These exams are thus moderately difficult. The language mediums available for these exams are English.
Recertification:
A successful Certified Enterprise Developer candidate will only hold the IBM Certified Deployment Professional certification indefinitely.
