Cisco Sales

The vendor Cisco has a certification entitled the Cisco Sales certifications which were established in 2001. This specific certification was designed and aimed at students who are currently employed in the Cisco Channel Partners and Resellers, or those who want to find employment in those environments.
The Cisco Sales certification certifies that a successful student has acquired the knowledge needed to sell, design, install, and support the core infrastructure of a Cisco solution. The successful certified student will be reputed to have the knowledge to build, configure, and troubleshoot campus networks and remote access networks using Cisco Catalyst multilayer switching technologies over high-speed Ethernet and Cisco routers connected in LANs and WANs. All of which are different areas in the Cisco Channel Partners and Resellers.
Paths with their respective Exams:
There are six (6) career paths, each with their own required exams. These are:
(1) Cisco Advanced Wireless LAN Sales Specialist
Prerequisite: A Valid Cisco Sales Expert: 646-202 CSE or 646-203 CSE
Recommended Training: Wireless LAN Advanced Sales (WLAS)
Exam: 646-588 AWLANAM
(2) Cisco Advanced IP Communications Sales Specialist
Prerequisite: A Valid Cisco Sales Expert: 646-202 CSE or 646-203 CSE
Recommended Training: IP Communications Advanced Sales (IPCAS)
Exam: 646-229 IPCAAM
(3) Cisco IP Communications Express Sales Specialist
Prerequisite: A Valid Cisco Sales Expert: 646-202 CSE or 646-203 CSE
Recommended Training: IP Communications Express Sales Specialist (IPXSS)
Exam: 646-222 IPCXAM
(4) Cisco Routing and Switching Sales Specialist
Prerequisite: A Valid Cisco Sales Expert: 646-202 CSE or 646-203 CSE

(5) Cisco Storage Networking Sales Specialist
Prerequisite: A Valid Cisco Sales Expert: 646-202 CSE or 646-203 CSE

(6) Cisco Express Foundation Sales Specialist
Prerequisite: A Valid Cisco Sales Expert: 646-202 CSE or 646-203 CSE

Recertification:
With all six career paths the successful Cisco Sales student will hold their certification for two years only, after which the Cisco Sales student must re-validate their certification by retaking and passing the Cisco Sales exam or taking and passing the Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert written exam.
